IMS and FMC Service Fulfillment

The promise of fixed mobile convergence is one of rapid agility. Applications can be brought to market very quickly, irrespective of the underlying access technology, raising revenue opportunities and technology consolidation for both fixed and wireless service providers. Architectures such as IMS and TISPAN promote a clear decoupling across various layers in the service execution platform to promote loose coupling and encourage rapid service creation and delivery.

However for an end to end service to operate correctly all service execution layers need to be configured in a service specific manner, services have many dependencies across the service execution stack that must be met for correct operation. For example an application deployed on a SDP may have dependencies on certain QoS in the network or on a specific feature being available in the customer end device for it to function correctly. Add to this the constraints the access technology may place restrictions on what capabilities can be in place at the customer or application layers leading to a complex cross layer dependency problem that must be managed operationally. This must be managed correctly to take advantage of any of the service execution agility benefits.

Axiom Systems provides a service fulfillment environment that through a componentized model intimately understands the capabilities of each domain and their relationships and cross dependencies for a specific service offering. Providing an operational environment that allows service providers to rapidly design and deliver services that will confidently work across multiple domains. The products and the Suite compliment the service execution agility with an operational agility that reduces any bottlenecks in getting services to market in an IMS or FMC environment.

Axiom Systems offers products which include:

  • Service Catalog for technical service modeling and decomposition
  • Component modeling of service elements into functional capability domains
  • Dynamic evaluation and instantiation of components during run-time execution
  • Management of complex inter-dependencies for the execution of dynamic components during Order to Service
  • Service assembly environment for the rapid introduction of new services, offerings and features
  • Subscriber and Service management across multiple technologies and applications
  • Service and capability inventory for service implementation overlay and analysis
